Engineering the systems that make electric mobility work.

Contigo’s vehicle engineering approach connects concept development, electric powertrain architecture and system integration with testing, supplier collaboration and regulatory development.

From vehicle concept to system architecture

Vehicle requirements establish the basis for motor selection, battery integration, electric drive units and the overall powertrain layout.

Packaging, weight distribution, payload, performance targets and intended operating conditions must be considered together. Inverters, controllers, power electronics and vehicle control units need a coordinated architecture rather than a collection of independent components.

Controls, calibration & connected vehicles

Vehicle software links propulsion, energy management and connected functions. Calibration and integration must reflect the chosen hardware and vehicle duty cycle.

Control logic, communications, diagnostics and monitoring are developed and validated within the scope of each programme. Connected vehicle features depend on integration, data permissions and local connectivity.

Testing and validation through development

System integration progresses through engineering checks, prototype testing and refinement. Safety, reliability and regulatory requirements inform this process.

Development targets are not certifications or completed production milestones. Homologation and market entry require the applicable evidence, approvals and local regulatory work.

An international engineering network

Contigo works with specialist suppliers and engineering collaborators across vehicle systems, software and manufacturing development.

The group does not claim to manufacture every component internally. The Canadian-led Contigo C3 programme brings compact electric vehicle architecture, planned Canadian LSV and European L6e/L7e configurations into this wider development approach.
